Electronics Module 

Coin Cell Battery 

 

Introduction 

This section describes the process for replacing the coin cell battery. This battery 
maintains the CPU settings. 

 

NOTE:

 

When the coin cell battery is disconnected, the CPU CMOS will lose its settings 
and must be re-programmed. See the instructions for re-programming the CPU 
CMOS settings in 

Chapter 4, Test and Calibration Procedures

. 

 

Coin cell battery 

Follow these steps to replace the coin cell battery. 

 

Step Action 

1.  

Remove the electronics module. 

2.  

Slide the battery out of the coin cell holder (item 

1

 in figure 6-18). 

3.  

Slide a new battery into the battery holder. 

4.  

Replace the electronics module. 

5.  

Restart the analyzer. 

6.  

Check the date and time under 

Options

. Adjust as necessary. 

NOTE: 

When resetting the date, always set the year first otherwise 

the CMOS will not record the month or day change.
