Calibrate 5 volts
Follow these steps to calibrate the 5 volt output.
Step Action
1.
Power down the analyzer and disconnect from AC power source.
2.
Remove the Service Modules from the Main Housing. This is required
to gain access to the test and adjustment points in the analyzer. See
Chapter 5, Dismantling
.
3.
Re-connect the upper module and the electronics module, separate
from the Main Housing, with the LCD display cable, the backlight
inverter cable and the touch screen cable.
NOTE:
The disk drive cable is not required at this time and should
not be re-connected at this point.
4.
Re-connect the lower module and the electronics module, separate
from the Main Housing, with the I/O cable, sensor cable, printer
power cables and printer data cable.
5.
Connect the leads of the digital voltmeter to the back-side leads of the
2-pin power cable where it attaches to the printer module.
6.
Re-connect the AC power source and turn the electronics module
power switch on. Verify that the
Main Menu
appears on screen.
7.
Adjust the R1 potentiometer on the battery control board until the
meter reads 5.20
±
0.02 VDC (see Figure 4-10).

8.
When the 5 volts are in the acceptable range, the 5 volt supply is
properly calibrated.
9.
If the voltage cannot be adjusted to the acceptable range, replace the
battery control board.
10.
Due to the power adjustment, the electronic zero and the SC and Hct
circuits must be calibrated. Proceed to
SC/Hematocrit Circuits
