Chapter 6: Replacements
Lower Module
Manifold Gasket
Introduction
To replace the manifold gasket, the type of gasket must be determined.
The two gasket designs are easily identified by color. The original manifold
gasket was black. The current manifold gasket is white and has a similar look and
feel to a rubber band. Only white manifold gaskets are available for order (REF:
834-656).
When the black manifold gasket requires replacement due to damage or wear,
replace the main housing assembly (see instructions in this chapter). This is due to
the labor intensive effort required to clean the housing before adding a new
gasket.
Orders for a replacement main housing or manifold will include a white manifold
gasket.
The white manifold gasket is not glued-in. It is held in place with a pressure fit and
may be replaced easily.
Installation
Follow these instructions to install the white manifold gasket.
Step Action
1.
Hold the manifold with the luer side facing you and the luers pointing
up.
2.
Hold the gasket with the recess on the bottom and facing the manifold.
3.
Place the gasket over the luer side of the manifold. The gasket will fit
over the step on the face of the manifold.
4.
Turn the manifold/gasket assembly around and insert it into the
rectangular opening located in the front of the main housing.
