Rear Panel
Introduction
This section describes the process for replacing the rear panel.
Rear panel
Follow these steps to remove the rear panel.
Step Action
1.
Remove the battery control board.
2.
Remove the battery pack.
3.
Using a 5/16” open-end wrench, remove the three KEP nuts holding
the battery pack housing in place.
4.
Using a 5/16” nut driver or open-end wrench, remove the four KEP
nuts holding the electronics chassis to the rear panel and remove the
rear panel.
5.
Remove the following cables and connectors from the rear panel, as
identified in the figure 6-19.
(1) Bar code reader / Keyboard cable
(2) Power switch cable
(3) Ethernet
cable
(4) COM1
cable
(5) Fan
assembly
NOTE:
These components will be re-attached to the new rear panel.
6.
Replace the rear panel.
