ABL77 Service Manual
Valve Board Tubing
Introduction
This procedure describes the process for replacing the tubing on the valve board
with replaceable valves only. This tubing arrangement is referred to as the
check
valve tubing
.
NOTE:
•
To increase accessibility during this procedure, you may loosen the three screws
securing the valve board to the lower module and lift the valve board to access
the tubing connections.
•
Do not pre-stretch the tubing when fitting. This may cause the connections to
leak or draw air. The adapters are intended to eliminate the connection problems.
Replacing the

Follow these steps to replace the valve board tubing. Make certain all tubing is
completely installed.
Step Action

NOTE:
This procedure will remove all liquid from the internal tubing
and prevent fluid from contacting the electronics during tubing
removal. Failure to remove all fluid may result in damage to the
electronics.
2.
•
Disconnect the lower module from the main housing.
•
Disconnect the lower module from the manifold.
3.
Carefully trim 3/8” to ½” (9.5 to 12.7 mm) off the disconnected ends
of the manifold tubing. Make sure the ends are neat and square.
NOTE:
The manifold tubing may be trimmed until the length makes
re-assembly of the analyzer difficult, then replace the manifold (REF:
