Editing Screen Data
Section 4-15
Alter
Using this function, the object of the editing operation (fixed display only) can be
reduced, enlarged, inverted, moved, or copied.
When an Alter is performed, a frame is displayed surrounding the object of the edit-
ing operation and the symbol
is displayed at each vertex and on each side of
this frame, as shown below. By dragging one of these symbols with the mouse
(dragging is moving the mouse with the left button held down), the object of the
editing operation can be reduced, enlarged, or inverted. It can also be moved or
copied by dragging the entire frame.
a:
Used to enlarge or reduce the object of the editing operation with the diag-
onally opposite point as the reference point, while maintaining the same
relative proportions. By moving to the opposite side of the diagonally op-
posite point, the object of the editing operation can be inverted vertically or
laterally.
b:
Used to enlarge or reduce the object of the editing operation in the vertical
direction only with the opposite side as the reference. Vertical inversion is
possible by moving the cursor beyond the opposite side.
c:
Used to enlarge or reduce the object of the editing operation in the hori-
zontal direction only with the opposite side as the reference. Horizontal
inversion is possible by moving the cursor beyond the opposite side.
Frame: Used to move the object of the editing operation. If the [CTRL] key is be-
ing pressed when the left mouse button is released at the destination, the
object of the editing operation is copied.
