4-10 Extended I/O Settings
This section describes how to apply the screen switching function to the input ter-
minals of extended I/O units using the “Edit”. When the input terminal of an ex-
tended I/O unit comes ON, the display switches to the specified screen.
An extended I/O unit is used in the following cases:
NT20M, NT600M:
When not using direct connection
NT30, NT30C, NT612G, NT610C:
When using Ver.3 direct connection or a later version
However, when using an NT20M or NT600M, “extended I/O” cannot be selected
and screen switching must be set using the standalone function.
Reference:
When using an NT20 or NT30C, connect the extended I/O unit with a dedicated
B7A interface unit.
Procedure 1.
Select “EXTD I/O” from the initial editing menu.
2.
Locate the cursor at the extended I/O unit input terminal number at which the
screen switching function is to be used.
"
To delete an existing terminal number setting from the field in which it is regis-
tered, locate the cursor at that field and press the [F1] (Delete) key.
3.
Specify the screen number of the screen to be switched to.
If “0” is specified the display will return to the screen that was displayed before
the current one.
4.
Press the [Esc] key to quit extended I/O setting.
Reference:
The settings made for an input terminal on the “Edit” screen are valid only while the
relevant screen is displayed at the PT.
When using direct connection, set “Direct” on the “Scr list” screen in order to make
the settings valid regardless of which screen is currently displayed.
