Transmitting Data
Section 7-2
Data Transmission in Screen Units
Whether or not data communication in screen units is possible depends on the PT
model used. For details, see “Types of Data Communication with Each PT Model”
(p.185).
Procedure 1.
Set the PT to the “Transmit Mode”.
Check that writing to the screen data memory is possible.
2.
Locate the bar cursor at the screen to be transmitted on the “Screen Selection”
screen.
When transmitting multiple screens, “mark” the appropriate screens. For de-
tails on using the marking function, see 3-5 “Screen Selection Screen” (p.31).
If transmitting numeral or character-string memory table data only, it does not
matter where the bar cursor is.
3.
Press [F10] (Next), then [F6] (Tmx).
4.
Specify either “Screen Data” or “Memory Table” as the data to be transmitted,
and press the
key.
5.
Specify whether or not verification (writing check) is to be executed, then press
the
key.
6.
A confirmation message will be displayed.
Check the message and press the
key.
To abort transmission, press the [Esc] key.
7.
Transmission will start.
On completion of transmission, the message “Data successfully transmitted”
is displayed.
To abort transmission part way through, press the [Esc] key.
Reference:
After aborting data transmission part way through, initialize the screen data
memory. To do this, perform forced initialization with the DIP switch on the PT. For
details, refer to the Operation Manual for the PT. Take the same measures if data
transmission is discontinued due to trouble.
