Common Setting Operations
Some setting operations are used frequently with all editing functions, such as nu-
meral display setting and word setting. These are explained here by summarizing
the representative setting operations.
Refer to this section if you are unsure how to perform a setting operation during
screen creation.

Setting Character/Character-String Displays

In the case of a character-string display, specify the method used to reference
the memory table used for the display here. This item can only be specified
when using direct connection.
(1) Direct
The character string in the specified character-string memory table is dis-
played.
(2) Indrct
The numeric value in the specified numeral table is taken as the number of a
character-string memory table, and the character-string in that character-
string memory table is displayed.
Indirect specification can be specified in the following cases. Do not specify it
unless one of these conditions applies.

When using a C200H interface unit

When using an NT20S or NT600S with Ver.5 direct connection
S
When using an NT30 or NT30C
Up to 50 indirect specifications can be made on one screen, including both
numerical displays and character-string displays.
