3.3.2 Outline of graph display
■ Graph axes
The graphs used to display measurement data on this instrument have three axes: X, Y1, and Y2. The
graphs also have two display layout styles (SINGLE and SPLIT). The display style can be set using the
[Graph] – [STYLE] menu.

In the SINGLE display style, Y1 is the left vertical axis and Y2 is the right vertical axis. In the SPLIT
style, two graphs are displayed, one above the other, with Y1 as the left vertical axis of the upper graph
and Y2 as the left vertical axis of the lower graph. The X axis is the same for both graphs.
■ Types of display data
The two types of data that are displayed in graph form are measurement data (MEAS DATA) and
reference data (REF DATA). The result of sweep measurements are MEAS DATA. MEAS DATA traces
are updated during sweep measurement operation. The reference data can be updated by copying
measurement data with a menu operation.
The MEAS DATA and REF DATA traces can be individually set to be displayed or to be hidden in the
graph.
■ Markers
Two types of markers are used to specify the range for reading X, Y1, and Y2 values of the data trace in a
graph: main markers and delta markers. The delta marker is used for reading X, Y1, and Y2 axis
difference values relative to the main marker. The value is displayed in the marker display area in the
upper part of the LCD screen.
The main marker is displayed on the graph as "*" and the delta marker is displayed as "
⊿
". The data that
is referenced by the markers can be set to measurement data (MEAS DATA) and reference data (REF
DATA) by using the
ACTIVE
and
⊿
SET
keys.
