■ Setting the DC bias
The DC bias that is applied to the circuit or DUT is set in the range from −10 V to +10 V.

The DC bias is set by tapping the function keys at the bottom of the LCD screen.
[DIRECT NEW]
: Set an arbitrary DC bias value.
[DIRECT EDIT]
: Edit the current DC bias setting.
● Selecting the DC bias output connector
Normally, the DC bias output from the
OSC
connector on the front panel, being added to the AC
output.
If

OSC
】
-
[OUTPUT CONNECTOR]
is set to
[REAR]
, the DC bias is output from the
DC BIAS
OUT
connector on the rear panel. In that case, please note that the DC bias is not output from the
OSC
connector on the front panel. This is used when the DC bias applied to the circuit or DUT being
measured is supplied via a different path than the AC signal used for measurement.
● Cautions concerning the DC bias settings
Simply changing the DC bias settings (magnitude and output location) does not change the DC bias
output until the
AC/DC ON
key is pressed. Even if the AC and DC output lamps are lit, it is necessary
to press the
AC/DC ON
key to change the actual DC bias output.
● Constraints on the setting range of the AC amplitude and the DC bias
The settings for the AC amplitude and the DC bias are limited to a total of ±10 V. If the DC bias is set
to 0 V, the AC amplitude can be set to a value of up to 10 Vpk. Please note that if the DC bias is set to
+1.2 V (or −1.2 V), the AC amplitude setting range is restricted to a maximum of 8.8 Vpk.
