4.2.3 Measuring the gain-phase characteristic
This is the method for measuring the transfer frequency characteristics of amplifiers and filters, etc.

The characteristics of the equipment under test can be obtained by measurement with the connections
illustrated in
Figure 4-4
. When measuring the input-output characteristics (
Figure 4-4 (a)
), it is
convenient to use the BNC adapter that is provided with the instrument. Measurement accuracy can be
increased by placing the BNC adapter on the input side of the equipment under test.

Follow the procedure described below for instrument set-up and performing measurements.
1) Initialize settings.
2) Press the BASIC SETUP key and change the settings as necessary.

: Sweep lower frequency

: Sweep upper frequency
[AMPLITUDE]
: Measurement amplitude
[INTEGRATION]
: Number of integration rounds
3) Press the AC/DC ON key on the front panel to turn the oscillator output on.
