3-14 Configuring Your System
Memory Configuration
Select "Memory Configuration" on the Advanced menu to display the following screen.
See the table below for setup options on the screen.

Indicates the current memory status.
"Normal" indicates that the memory
devices operate normally.
"Disabled" indicates that one or more
memory devices are defected.
"Not Installed" indicates that no
memory devices are installed.

Group #1 refers to DIMMs installed in
DIMM sockets #1A and #1B.
Group #2 refers to DIMMs installed in
DIMM sockets #2A and #2B.
Group #3 refers to DIMMs installed in
DIMM sockets #3A and #3B.
(Memory is interleaved and two
DIMMs are used in pair.)
Memory Retest

Clears memory error information and
retests all DIMMs on the next system
boot.
Extended RAM

Every-location
[Disabled]
Extended memory test options run
during POST.
1MB: Tests every 1MB of memory.
1KB: Tests every 1KB of memory.
Every-Location: Tests every memory
location.
Disabled: Initializes memory.
Note: the smaller the test unit, the
longer the test takes during POST.
