8-6 Internal Cabling Diagrams
Connecting Additional Disk Cabinets to the Server
To connect to the server an additional disk cabinet, or an external SCSI hard disk cabinet, a disk
array controller board is required.
The additional disk cabinet can be connected to the server equipped with the disk array controller
board. (A single ST1430 cabinet contains 14 hard disks. Up to eight ST1430 cabinets can be
connected to the server.)
