5. Open the eject cover and slide the fixing unit toward the machine front to free the unit
from the pins holding it at the machine rear, and take out the unit.

6. Remove the two screws and fixing unit cover.
7. Remove the 1-pin fixing heater connector from fixing unit thermostat 1 and free the
heater wire from the wire holder.
8. Remove the two screws and heater front and rear retainers.
9. Pull the fixing heater out of the front of the fixing unit.
• When handling the fixing heater, touch only the ceramic parts.
10. Replace the fixing heater.
11. Refit all the removed parts.
