(4) Detaching and refitting the scanner wire
Take the following steps when a scanner wire is broken or to be replaced.
Important
: After replacing a scanner wire, proceed to (5) Adjusting focus (lens unit).
(4-1) Detaching the scanner wires
Procedure
1. Remove the contact glass.
2. Move light source unit 1 to the center of the machine.
3. Remove each screw and retainer holding the scanner wires to light source unit 1.
4. Unhook the wire springs on one end of each scanner wire from their holders on the left.
5. Unhook the round terminals of each scanner wire from their holders on the right.
6. Remove the scanner wires and install new ones.
