6. Detach the main charger from the image formation unit.
7. Pull the drum shaft out of the rear of the drum.
8. Holding both ends, detach the drum from the image formation unit.

9. Fit the new drum.
• Orient the drum correctly, with the thin shaft hole on the machine front and the thick
shaft hole on the machine rear.
10. Push the drum shaft into the rear of the drum and, while turning the shaft, insert it fully
into the drum.
• Ensure there is a clearance of about 1 mm between the E ring on the drum shaft and
the drum rear bushing.
11. Refit the main charger to the image formation unit.
12. Refit the image formation unit to the copier and close the front cover.
13. Set the exposure amount (see page 3-3-30).
