AXIS-GENERAL
Mounting instructions:
The machine can be connected to the tractor with class III linkage only with
class II clearance and the use of reducing sleeves.
The bottom and top linkage pins must be locked with the locking pins or spring
clips.
The solid fertiliser broadcaster must be mounted as specified in the calibra-
tion charts for correct cross distribution of the fertiliser.
To avoid a seesawing motion during operation, make sure that the solid ferti-
liser broadcaster does not have too much sideways play:
-
Lower steering arms of the tractor should be braced by stabilising struts
or chains.
1.
Start the tractor.
The PTO shaft is switched off.
2.
Drive the tractor into coupling position towards the solid fertiliser broadcaster.
Do not latch the lower steering arm hooks into place yet.
Make sure there is enough space between the tractor and the solid ferti-
liser broadcaster to be able to connect the drive shaft and control ele-
ments.
3.
Turn off the tractor. Remove the ignition key.
4.
Connect the drive shaft to the tractor.
If there is not enough space available, then an extendable
Tele-Space
universal drive shaft
must be used for safety reasons.
5.
Connect the electrical and hydraulic slide feed controls and the lighting (see
Section A.1
of each solid fertiliser broadcaster model).
6.
From the tractor cab, couple the lower steering arm hook and the upper steer-
ing arm to the retainers provided for them, as described in the operator's man-
ual for your tractor.
7.
Check if the solid fertiliser broadcaster is stable.
8.
Carefully raise the fertiliser spreading arm to maximum allowed lifting height.
NOTICE
We recommend using lower arm hooks with a hydraulic upper arm for safety
and comfort. See
