Fitting the spreading discs
Requirements:

PTO shaft and engine of the tractor are switched off and locked to prevent ac-
cidental starting.
Mount the left spreading disc on the left side of direction of travel and the right
spreading disc on the right side of direction of travel. Make sure that the left and
right spreading discs are not reversed.
The following procedure is for mounting the left hand spreading disc. The right
hand disc should be mounted in the same way.
1. Place the left hand disc on the left hand hub. Make sure that the disc is cor-
rectly placed on the hub (clean any dirt away).
2. Carefully position cap nut (do not tilt).
3. Tighten the cap nut hand-tight to 25 Nm. Do not use the adjustment lever.
4. Check that there is clearance between the vanes and the outlet by turning the
spreading discs by hand.
NOTICE
The pins on the spreading disc holders have different positions on the left and
right. The correct spreading disc is the one that fits precisely into the spreading
disc holder.
NOTICE
The cap nuts have an internal catching mechanism that prevents them from
coming loose. It must be possible to hear these when tightening. If not the cap
nut is worn and must be replaced.
