9. Shorten the drive shaft, if needed.

CAUTION
Material damage due to too long drive shaft
When the solid fertiliser broadcaster is lifted up, the drive shaft
halves can come into contact inside each other. This can cause
damage to the drive shaft, transmission or the solid fertiliser
broadcaster.
 Check the free space between the solid fertiliser broad-
caster and the tractor.
 Make sure that there is enough space between the drive
shaft outer pipe (at least 20 to 30 mm) and the protective
cone on the spreading side.
NOTICE
Have the universal drive shaft shortened only by your dealer or your expert
workshop.
NOTICE
Observe the attachment instructions and short introduction in the shaft manu-
facturer's manual when testing and fitting the universal drive shaft. This opera-
tor's manual is attached to the universal drive shaft on delivery.
