Plane view
The
Plane
view presents the echo data in a horizontal sector ("fan"). The sector direction
can be changed in both vertical and horizontal directions.
A
The current tilt is shown with dotted lines in the view. Two types of dotted lines are
used to distinguish between port and starboard side of the sector.
B
The current settings for range, gain and tilt are show in the lower left corner of the view.
C
Range rings are a set of concentric circles labelled by distance from the vessel position.
D
The distance and depth of the cursor location is shown in the lower right corner of
the view.
How to open
At the bottom of the display presentation, select a suitable presentation mode, and activate
the
Plane
view.
Description
Although the presentation of the echoes is most important in this view, it also contains
a number of other objects. These provide you with additional functionality, as well as
information that is useful or important while using the ST90 sonar system.
Gain
The current settings for range, gain and tilt are show in the lower left corner of the view.
The purpose of the
Gain
function is to adjust the echo level in the display presentations.
By adjusting the gain you can control how much amplification the ST90 system
applies to the received echoes.

Horizontal
view. Two
