Recording dialog box
Record RAW
allows you to record the unprocessed echo data received by the transducer. You
can save the data to the hard disk, or onto an external storage device. When the recording is
stopped, the
Recording
dialog box opens automatically. Use the
Recording
dialog box to
add metadata to your recording.
How to open
When the recording is stopped, the
Recording
dialog box opens automatically.
Description
The purpose of the
Recording
dialog box is to collect additional information about the
recording circumstances before you save the file. After you have stopped the recording we
suggest that you keep this dialog box open until you have collected information about
the catch.
Select
Advanced
to add information. You can insert information about catch and bycatch,
and provide details about species, weight and size. You can also add comments. The
comments are saved in a separate text file in the same folder as the raw data files.
Select
Delete
to cancel the recording and delete the raw data file.
Tip
By collecting additional information about the catch you add value to your recording. The
catch data will help to build your own experience, as you can play back the data later so
study the echo presentations. If you wish to share the recordings with your dealer or us we
can use them to make our products better.
Details
Folder Prefix
You can save the data to the hard disk, or onto an external storage device. Type a
text to use a prefix on the folder name.
Note
The data files will normally become very large. If you wish to record large amounts of
data, make sure that you have enough space on your hard disk. The ST90 system is
not provided with unlimited disk capacity. We recommend that you save the data files
to an external storage device.
