Markers
The course and speed of the latest marker is found in the lower right corner of the
view. The values are calculated based on the last two markers you placed and the
time between each placement.
Relevant information about a priority target can be found in the lower left corner of
the view. The information include the location, speed, course and depth of the target,
as well as an estimate of its area and volume.
Compass Cards
Activate
Compass Cards
to place evenly spaced compass markers on the outer range
ring in horizontal views. The compass markers rotate based in the inputs from a
navigation sensor. An update takes place when the vessel heading changes more
than 1 degree.
Coverage Plot
When you operate with sector transmissions, the area covered by the sonar beams is
limited by the chosen transmit sector angle. To make it easier to recognize the area
limits, dedicated border lines may be added to the presentation. These lines are used to
outline the sector.
In the
Horizontal
view, the coverage plot identifies the area covered in the
Vertical
view.
In some situations you may wish to expand the range in the sonar presentations. Use
View Range
to expand the range shown in the relevant views to any percentage of the
original
Range
setting. When you define a value for
View Range
the presentation will
shift to the new range, while the range defined by the
Range
setting is identified with
a thicker circle. If you increase the tilt, and then exceed the range using the
View
Range
function,
Coverage Plot
will indicate the current practical range with a circle.
The same applies if you set
Range Projection
to
True
.
Audio Beam
The solid bearing line in the
Horizontal
view controls the audio beam. If you have two
Horizontal
views, the solid line in the
Horizontal 1
view controls the audio beam.
Current Vectors
/
Current Flow
A current sensor can be connected to the ST90 system. This can for example be
an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP). The information from this sensor is
presented in the applicable views.
The
Current Vector
function shows you the speed and direction of the water current
under your vessel. One or more arrow are drawn to or from the vessel symbol to
