Breakout Panels
Breakout panels let you connect ports on a GigaVUE node to a tool or network port or
TAP for port breakout or aggregation.
The following breakout panels are available:
• PNL-M341
• PNL-M343
Refer to G-TAP M Series Hardware Guide for details.
Upgrading PLDs
Use the pld CLI command to perform an upgrade of programmable logic devices
(PLDs) on GigaVUE-HC3 nodes. These devices include field programmable gate
arrays (FPGAs). The following components have an FPGA:
• PRT-HC3-X24 module
• PRT-HC3-C08Q08 module
• PRT-HC3-C16 module
• SMT-HC3-C05 module
• BPS-HC3-C25F2G module
• BPS-HC3-Q35C2G module
• BPS-HC3-C35C2G module
• control card (also referred to as the main board)
FPGA images are bundled with the software image and upgraded with the software
image upgrade, however, the
pld command provides the ability to upgrade each FPGA
individually.
After a PLD upgrade, the node must be reloaded.
Issue the show pld command to display the PLDs that need to be upgraded, then only
upgrade those. Refer to the following example for CCv1:
