:
When referring to ports in the CLI, the format is
box ID/slot ID/port ID
. For
example,
1/1/x6
refers to box 1, slot 1, port X6.
•
GigaVUE-HC3
: Slots (bays) are numbered 1-4 from left upper, left lower, right
upper to right lower. The numbering of the module bays also determines the priority
of the modules for power management. Refer to
.
N
OTE
:
The port labels on the module faceplate use upper-case C, Q, and X characters
to identify ports. However, the CLI uses lowercase notation to refer to ports (for
example, c1, q1, and x1).
PRT-HC3-X24 Module
The PRT-HC3-X24 module provides a total 240Gb/600Gb of connectivity with line rate
on-board switching across twenty-four 10Gb/25Gb SFP+, SFP28, and SFP+ Copper
ports. Refer to
When four PRT-HC3-X24 modules are installed in the node, the GigaVUE-HC3
provides ninety-six 10Gb ports.
N
OTE
:
The PRT-HC3-X24 module does not support 1Gb.
All ports in the PRT-HC3-X24 module can be used as network, tool, or hybrid ports.
Moreover, the 10Gb ports can be used as stack-link ports.
Starting in software version 5.4, SFP28 transceivers support 25Gb.
N
OTE
:
To support 25Gb functionality, the GigaVUE-HC3 node must be equipped with
Control Card version 2 (CCv2).
For details about the supported transceiver, cable type, fanout, inline ports, and
clusters, refer to
“GigaVUE-OS Compatibility and Interoperability Matrix”
