PRT-HC3-C08Q08 Notes and Rules
Keep in mind the following notes and rules when using the PRT-HC3-C08Q08 module:
100Gb/40Gb Ports
PRT-HC3-C08Q08 provides 8 QSFP28 ports for 100Gb traffic
or 16 QSFP+ ports for 40Gb traffic. When a port is enabled as
a100Gb port, the lower port is disabled.
The upper ports are designated as C1 to C8 from left to right when
viewed from the front.

For details about the supported transceiver, cable type, and connectivity specifications, refer

Maximum PRT-HC3-C08Q08
Modules Per Chassis
The maximum number of PRT-HC3-C08Q08 modules per chassis is four. Each module can
support up to eight 100Gb ports or sixteen 40Gb ports. When a port is configured as a
100Gb port, the lower port is disabled.

OTE
:
If all modules in the chassis are 100Gb, there are no 10Gb ports with which to
connect tools. 10Gb ports are only available when ports are in 4x10G mode and require a
QSFP+ transceiver.

Network, Tool, Hybrid, or
Stack Ports
The upper eight 100Gb/40Gb ports on the PRT-HC3-C08Q08 module can function as
network, tool, hybrid, or stack ports.
Subports created from 2x40G mode, 4x10G mode, and 4x25G on the PRT-HC3-C08Q08
module can function as network, tool, hybrid, or stack ports.
