2.2.6 Settings for IDENTI-FISH

The IDENTI-FISH

and ID1/ID2 menus have items for setting up the IDENTI-FISH
™
echo display and the IDENTI-FISH
™
graph.
[IDENTI-FISH] menu
1. Click the [Advanced Settings] icon ( ) from the InstantAccess bar™, then click
the [Advanced Settings] icon ( ) to show the [Advanced Settings] window
2. Click [IDENTI-FISH].
3. If necessary, adjust settings, referring to the table below.
4. Click the [OK] button to confirm settings.
Use the [Cancel] button to discard changes to [Clutter], [Interference], [Smooth-
ing].
Item Description
[Fish Species List] Registers model data for fish species. See section 2.2.3.
[Import Reference Data] Imports model data from an external storage device. See
"How to import model data" on page 2-9.
[Export Reference Data] Exports model data to an external storage device. See
"How to export model data" on page 2-10.
[Delete Reference Data] Deletes model data. See "How to delete unnecessary
model data" on page 2-8.
[Clutter]
Removes unwanted noise from the IDENTI-FISH
™
echo
display. The greater the numeric value the move clutter is
reduced.
[Interference] Removes unwanted interference (electrical, etc.) from the
IDENTI-FISH
™
echo display. The degree of interference
rejection increases in the order of [NL1] → [NL2] → [NL3].
Normally, use the same setting mentioned in
section 1.10. If the interference cannot be removed from
the IDENTI-FISH
™
echo display by that method, adjust
this setting.
[Smoothing]
If the echoes on the IDENTI-FISH
™
echo display appear
“spotty” or “jagged” adjust this setting to smooth the echo
presentation. The larger the setting the greater the degree
of smoothing.
