Picture Advance
The picture advance speed determines how quickly the echoes are displayed on-
screen. When setting a picture advance speed, keep in mind that a fast advance
speed will expand echoes horizontally on the screen and a slow advance speed will
contract them. A fast advance speed is useful for observing a rugged seabed closely.
A slow advance speed is useful for observing a smooth seabed.
To set the picture advance, do as follows:
1. If the header is not displayed, put the cursor at the top edge of the display to show
it.
2. Click the [ADVANCE] indication on the header. The indication is now highlighted
in a green color.
3. Scroll to select the appropriate advance speed. The table below lists each setting
and resulting advance speed.
