How to Change the Range
The range setting dictates the on-screen display distance and can be changed to suit
your requirements. The system has eight presets, each of which can be changed. The
default ranges are listed in the table below.
*: Japanese unit of depth measurement.
Note 1:
You can change the default ranges according to your requirements. See
Note 2:
The range cannot be changed when auto range selection is active.
Note 3:
The [Split Range] function enables independent adjustment of range on the
low and high frequencies on the normal echo display. See [Split Range] on page 4-9.
To change the range, do as follows:
1. If the header is not displayed, put the cursor at the top edge of the display to show
it.
2. Click the [RANGE] indication on the header. The indication is now highlighted in
a green color.
3. If the [Split Range] function is turned on, click the [RANGE] indication to select the
frequency for which to adjust its range. Each click shows either [HF] or [LF] in the
[RANGE] indication.
4. Scroll to change the range. The display changes automatically with each change
in range. Roll downward to increase the range; upward to decrease the range.
The [RANGE] indication shows the current range setting.
