Specific area
This method allows you to specify up to three square-shaped areas. To set up one or
more detection areas, do the following:
1. From the [MODE] indication, select a combination display that shows [LF] or [HF]
on the normal echo display and [BL], [BZ], [MZ], or [BD] on the zoomed echo dis-
play.
2. Click the [Sounder] icon (
) from the InstantAccess bar™ to show the [Sounder]
menu bar, then click the [Fish Size Measurement] icon (
) to show menu op-
tions.
3. Click the [Specific Area] icon (
). [FISH AREA] appears in the Miscellaneous
section of the header.
4. If the header is not shown, put the cursor inside the header area.
5. Click [SIZE AREA] on the header, then scroll to change setting, among [SIZE1] -
[SIZE3].
The [SIZE AREA] window turns green. A maximum of three measurement ranges
[SIZE1] - [SIZE3] can be set on all screens except for the IDENTI-FISH
™
echo dis-
play.
6. Drag the cursor to the diagonally opposite corner of the area, then release the
left
button
. The selected area is now highlighted with a colored box. See the figure
below for box color.
7. Change the location of the measuring marker and its size if necessary.
8. Do steps 5-7 to set other measuring range.
