How to test the Trackball Control Unit
You can test the buttons, scrollwheel and trackball of the Trackball Control Unit at any
time.
To test the control unit, click [Control Unit Test] from the [Tests] menu.
To close the [Control Unit Test], click the [Close Window] icon ( ) at the top-right cor-
ner of the window.

Check the buttons, scrollwheel, and trackball for proper operation.

Button
: Hold down a button. The button’s on-screen location turns light-blue if
the button is normal.
•
Scrollwheel
: Push and scroll the scrollwheel. The scrollwheel’s on-screen lo-
cation turns light-blue if the scrollwheel is normal.
•
Trackball
: Roll the trackball. The trackball’s on-screen location turns light-blue
if the trackball is normal.

Turns the unit’s back-light on or off.

Turns the unit’s operation beeps on or off.

Shows the coordinates of the cursor. If these values change with trackball move-
ment, the trackball is functioning normally.

Shows the scrollwheel movement. If the value changes, the scrollwheel is func-
tioning normally.

Starts the [Control Unit] test. To quit the test, right click three times.
