Stabilization menu
The [Stabilization] menu mainly compensates for heaving. See the Notes below to en-
able use of this function.
Note 1:
This function requires connection to a SATELLITE COMPASS
™
. If data from
the compass is lost or interrupted, the function is disabled.
Note 2:
To use stabilization, set output data on the SATELLITE COMPASS
™
as
shown below. See the operator’s manual for the SATELLITE COMPASS
™
.
• Output sentence: ATT (GPatt), HVE (GPhve)
• Baud rate: 38,400 bps
• Output interval: 25 ms or less
• Version (SC-50/110 only): IEC ED1
Note 3:
This function is unavailable if [KP Input] is set to [On] at installation.

Description
[Bottom Level]
In the default bottom level setting [0], the equipment judges con-
secutive strong echoes to be bottom echoes. If, in that setting, the
depth indication is unstable, adjust the bottom level. If vertical lines
extend upward from the bottom echo in the bottom lock display,
lower the bottom level to erase the vertical lines. If the level is too
low, however, it may be difficult to distinguish bottom fish from the
bottom echo.
[Draft]
To display the depth from the surface (rather than the transducer),
enter ship’s draft. If the draft settings for HF and LF do not match,
the message “The setting values are different for HF and LF. If you
don't use an integrated transducer, the measurement accuracy of
the Fish Size Graph and ID Graph will be reduced.” appears.
[Gain ADJ]
If the gain is too high or too low, or the gain for the low and high
frequencies appears unbalanced, you can compensate it here.
