Change the NVP

Set the NVP to a Specified Value
Use this procedure to set the NVP to a specified value, such as the
value specified by the manufacturer. The NVP value applies to the
selected cable type.
Note
If you are on the NEW CUSTOM CABLE
screen, tap
the
NVP
panel, then go to step 4 below.
To enter a specified NVP value

On the home screen, tap the test setup panel, tap a copper
test, then tap
EDIT
.

On the
TEST SETUP
screen, make sure that the
Cable Type
is
correct.

Under the
Cable Type
, tap
NVP
.

On the
NVP
screen, use or to change the NVP value.

Tap
DONE
, then tap
SAVE
.
Find a Cable's Actual NVP
To find a cable's actual NVP, you can use the
NVP
screen to adjust
the measured length to match a known length of cable. The NVP
value applies to the selected cable type.
