Replacing Parts

To remove motherboard components from the motherboard

Access and open the E-36A (see

Remove the printer interface board (see

Remove the following cables attached to the motherboard:

Fiery QuickTouch USB cable
•
Hard disk drive (HDD) data cable
•
SATA data cable
•
Power supply cable
•
24-pin motherboard power cable
•
4-pin motherboard power cable
•
10-pin power button cable
•
Fan cables (chassis fan and CPU fan)

This procedure assumes that you have already performed the procedure

Remove the six mounting screws that secure the motherboard to the base of the chassis (see
for the screw locations on your motherboard).
To minimize tension on the motherboard, loosen all the screws partially before removing any one screw
completely.
Follow standard ESD precautions while handling the motherboard and all components. For

not touch the contacts and avoid using excessive force. Place the motherboard on a grounded,
antistatic surface.
