Bus-section panel 1250 A
The bus-section panel 1250 A with OCO mechanism (see
chapter 4.2.3) has a busbar earthing facility; the bus-
section panel 630 A does not have this.
The main busbar systems A and B of the sections can be
earthed if the disconnector section of the other is in
operation; in other words: the main busbar of the left
section can be earthed via the disconnector in the right part
of the bus-section panel (OR). This is a cross-earthing.
The main busbar of the right section can be earthed via the
disconnector in the left part of the bus-section panel (OL).
Earthing of the main busbar of the left section
1. Turn the circuit-breaker of the bus-section panel off
(see chapter 4.2.3).
2. Ensure that the cables are earthed in all panels of the
left section A (the disconnector in earthing position and
the switch in operating position (see chapter 4.3).
3. Lock the switches against unintentional switching off
using a padlock according to the procedures in
chapter 4.2.7.
4. Set the right disconnector (OR, see figure 1) to the
earthing position. Set the left disconnector (OL in
figure 1) to the operating position.
5. Check that busbar A in the relevant section A is dead
(see chapter 4.2.6). If there is no voltage indication on
the relevant part of the bus-section panel, the voltage
indication of one of the panels in the relevant section
must be used to switch on that panel.
6. Switch on the circuit-breaker of the bus-section panel.
7. Prohibit local switching operations with the circuit-
breaker by displaying a warning notice “DO NOT
SWITCH”, see chapter 4.2.7. Prohibit remote switching
operations by separating the relevant connections.
Earthing of the main busbar of the left section
The main busbar of the right section B is earthed in the
same way as the left section, except that now disconnector
OL must be set to the earthing position and OR to the
operating position.
