5.2.1
Dismantling

dismantling.

The installation must be disconnected from the
mains.
Note:
The description refers to figure 1 in chapter 6.1.1.
1. Switch the installation off
(see chapter 4.2.2/4.2.3).
2.
• Place the operating handle on the
operating shaft of the switch.
Turn the operating shaft a quarter turn clockwise
and keep it in this position.
3. Insert an L profile in the slot which comes free under
strip G of the main spring (figure 1).
4. Turn the operating shaft back.
5. Remove the pin (X) and remove the main spring
completely from the mechanism.

ANGER WARNING
The main spring is still tensioned. It must first
be clamped. After that, the interlocks can be
removed and the spring carefully released.
The user is himself responsible for the safe
execution of this procedure.
Removing the main spring, 1250 A panels
The main spring of 1250 A panels may only be removed by
or under the supervision of Eaton.
5.2.2
disposal
Switchgear should be disposed of in an environmentally
responsible manner.
Substances and materials arising from dismantling should
be destroyed, re-used or disposed of in accordance with
the regulations and requirements currently in force.
A list of the materials used is available from Eaton.
