NOTICE: 

To help prevent damage to the system board, you must remove the battery 

from the battery bay before you begin working inside the computer. 

Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 163.

Turn the computer over.

3

Loosen the captive screws on the coin-cell battery cover (see "Bottom 
View" on page 34), and remove the cover.

4

Remove the modem (see "Modem" on page 177).

5

Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the system board.
