3.4.6.12 Frame Reset Polarity Select (FRSTPOL) R/W
This bit selects the polarity of the frame reset pulse output on the camera connector during a frame reset cycle. Pro-
gram this bit to match the pulse polarity required by the camera in use. The length of the Frame Reset pulse is selected
by the FRSTSZ bit.
FRSTPOL
Function
0
Frame reset pulse active high
1
Frame reset pulse active low
3.4.6.13 Frame Reset Size (FRSTSZ) R/W
The FRSTSZ bit determines the length of the frame reset pulse output to camera. The pulse duration can be one line,
or the entire programmed FROFF time.
FRSTSZ
Function
0
Frame reset pulse is true for FROFF period
1
Frame reset pulse is one line
3.4.6.14 Frame Reset On Vertical Sync Output Enable (FRSTONV) R/W
The FRSTONV bit disables the VSYNC output, and directs the Frame Reset pulse onto the VSYNC output pin, in
addition to the separate frame reset pin on the camera connector. Some cameras require the frame reset pulse occur
on the vertical sync input line, not on a separate pin.
FRSTONV
Function
0
Vsync is vertical sync output
1
Vsync is Frame Reset output
3.4.6.15 Frame Reset Offset Duration (FROFF) R/W
FROFF defines a delay between the trigger pulse and the start of the Programmable Window Generator (PWG)
counters. FROFF also defines the length of the frame reset pulse output to the camera when FRSTSZ=0. The 8-bit
value is a number of lines to delay the counters. This delay count compensates for some additional delay between the
time the frame reset pulse triggers and the time the camera enters its vertical blank region. Program FROFF to equal
the expected additional line delay when using frame reset mode. The PWG counters are delayed the programmed
number of lines in FROFF, for the first field of a frame reset cycle.
Use the following formula to calculate FROFF:
FROFF = number of lines to delay PWG count from trigger input – 1
FROFF
Function
0
Delay PWG count 1 line after receiving trigger
1
Delay PWG count 2 lines after receiving trigger
2
Delay PWG count 3 lines after receiving trigger
3
Delay PWG count 4 lines after receiving trigger
. . .
. . .
255 (0xFF)
Delay PWG count 256 lines after receiving trigger
