At seal assembly, apply a light coat of lithium grease
on seal lips.
787 Engine
Position PTO seal against the retaining shim; the
gap between the seal and bearing will ensure
proper lubrication of the bearing.

947 Engine
Seals are positioned with the outer lip in the crank-
case recess.
1. Seal lip in crankcase recess
6, Drive Pin
Make sure drive pins of bearings are properly in-
stalled in crankcase recesses at assembly.
1. Drive pins
13, Counterbalance Shaft
787 Engine
Press gear no. 14 onto counterbalance shaft tak-
ing care to align both marks previously traced.

CAUTION
Counterbalance shaft must be properly as-
sembled, otherwise engine will vibrate and
premature wear will occur.
