Syntax

:<Handle>:SGENeral:GLOBal:ARM[:SEQuence][:LAYer]

This command subsystem is used to control the system by an external 

signal.

The EXTernal :INPut connector at the front panel of the clock module 

is used to start the system by a so-called GATE or by a TRIGGER 

signal. 

Following modes are available:

...:SOUR:IMM

A pulse stream (sequence) is generated immediately 

as soon as the system is started by the start command.

...:SOUR:GATEd

A pulse stream (sequence) is generated as soon as 

the level at the external input connector exceeds the input threshold. 

A sequence can be generated by a positive or a by a negative input 

signal depending on the parameter set.

...:SOUR:STARtsignal

 A pulse stream (sequence) is generated as 

soon as a start signal exceeds the input threshold. A sequence can be 

started by a positive or a negative input signal depending on the 

parameter set.
