The function will not begin until you click the

Execute

button.

Be sure to watch the status of the route to know that the function executed properly.

The starting and ending statuses and use for each function are described in the following

sections.

Clear

This function clears all route and reading information in the AutoRead database from the

selected route and returns the route to a status of No Meters (Data: Not Loaded). Once

cleared, the route is ready to Import the next set of meters to be read in the field. The Clear

function should not be used unless you are certain there are no readings that need to be

collected from the route being cleared. If a Clear function is performed by mistake on a

route that is still being read, please contact Sensus Technical Services at 1-800-638-2748.

A Clear function clears the route information that is in the AutoRead database only. This

function does not erase what is in the HHD or VXU disk and is fully separate from the Billing

software (performing a Clear in AutoRead will not erase data already stored in Billing).

Note

Depending on your settings on the Route Maintenance - General screen, AutoRead may or

may not prompt for confirmation (are you sure you wish to Clear) before it actually clears the

information from the AutoRead database. It is recommended to perform a backup of the
