Add Readings and Notes to Meters in AutoRead
In AutoRead version 5.xx and later, it is possible to add a reading or note to an account
after the meters have been processed from the HHD, or Vehicle device. In other words, if
the meter reader has finished reading, and the readings have been read from the HHD or
Vehicle into AutoRead, but have not yet been transferred to billing, it is possible to add a
reading or note to an account from within AutoRead. It is no longer necessary to perform all
re-reads via the HHD or Vehicle devices themselves or edit the readings only after they have
been sent into billing. This can be useful if there are just a few readings to add, and you do
not wish to have to use the HHD to enter the readings. A user can always add readings
directly to the billing software after readings are taken on the meter reading system, but now
AutoRead allows readings to be added from within the AutoRead software as well.
In order to add reading transactions to accounts from within AutoRead, the route must be
in a Backup Required (Data: Available) or Complete (Data: Available) status. In order to be
in one of these two statuses, the route and reading data must have already been read from
the HHD or Vehicle device into AutoRead using the Read Data function.
