If your routes are named after the device (HHD001 or SSI001), then it is likely that there is
only one route per device in AutoRead. In this situation, it is usually easier to load multiple
routes by importing them together as one group into the route named after the device.
Consult your billing software to find out how to combine multiple books or routes in one file
for AutoRead.
If your routes have more specific names, you can load them together as one group on
the HHD. To do so, you must Import the meters into each route in AutoRead, and then
highlight each route simultaneously before performing the
Load Data
function. This can be
accomplished in several ways.
First you must click the first route you wish to include, and then you can do one of the
following:
• Hold down the
Ctrl
key on your keyboard and click each additional route you wish to
include.
• Hold down the
Shift
key on your keyboard and press the down arrow or up arrow key
on the keyboard to highlight consecutive routes. If you wish to include ALL routes on the
screen, you can click the
Select All
button next to the function box to highlight ALL the
routes on the Process Routes screen. After all the routes you wish to load are highlighted,
go to the function box and choose
Load Data
and
Execute
. All the selected routes
load together. It is VERY IMPORTANT to remember that if you Load routes together as
a group; you must Read Data on them together as well. AutoRead will not allow you to
retrieve readings for only one route if you loaded several together. It will give you the error
Invalid Operation - Multi. This simply means that you loaded multiple routes, and you are
not selecting all the same routes when you are trying to Read Data out of the device.
How do I change the Notecodes that the meter
readers use on their HHD or Vehicle Devices?
Changes to the default set of Note codes must be done within AutoRead. The available
Note codes on the Reading Devices update once the Device is loaded again after making
the changes.
Note: If using IMSofTech's InHance Utility Solution billing program (formerly Oasis), the note
codes for the HHDs are set up in the InHance program. These are set up in the
Utility | UB
Admin | Configuration | Reading
menu for Sensus Device Notecodes. For any questions
or help in accessing these InHance screens, please contact IMSofTech's InHance billing
technical support.
After entering the AutoRead application, go to
View-Polling Devices
in the
Menu Bar
at
the top.
Highlight the protocol of the Device you wish to change on the tree view to the left (either
HHD or Vehicle) as each has its own note list. Notice the Notes tab toward the top of the
screen, located under the green Add plus sign (+). Click on the
Notes
tab, and the View
Notes screen displays.
