It is also possible to print the AutoRead reports to a file. If reports are printed to a file, they
can be saved in any directory on the network, or can even be emailed to another location
for review. To print to file, choose
File
in the
Printer
box, and then use the box labeled
File
to enter the path and filename for the reports or browse for the desired path.
How do I reprint the reports from a route?
There are times when the reports in AutoRead start printing but stop before they are finished
because of a PC, network, or printer related problem.
1. If you think the problem is with your PC or with your network connection, close all
programs and reboot the PC.
2. If it is a printer-related problem, such as out of paper or a paper jam, correct the
problem and make sure the printer is on-line or ready to print. Then go to AutoRead
and select the route you wish to reprint the reports for. The status should be Backup
Required or Complete. Go to the
Function
drop-down box and select the
Report
function, and then click
Execute
.
How do I view the AutoRead Reports on the
computer screen or print a single report or a single
page of the Reports?
It is possible to view the reports that AutoRead can generate on the screen of the computer.
You can also choose to print a single report, or even a single page of the report, rather than
printing the entire set of AutoRead reports.
First, you will want to make sure that the route in AutoRead that you wish to view or print
has data available. If you have performed a Read Data command on the reading device,
the Status column should read either Backup Required (Data: Available) or Complete (Data:
Available). In both cases, the data is available for viewing or printing. You can view or print
the data from the reports at ANY time after performing a Read Data command, as long as
the status still says
(Data: Available)
.
To view a report, first go to the tree view on the left side of the screen of AutoRead, and
click the plus sign (+) next to the word
Reports
. It should turn into a minus sign (-). Then
click the plus sign (+) next to the protocol that the route is in. If you only use HHD or SSI
routes, click next to Handheld TouchRead or Handheld RadioRead. If you wish to view
reports on a Vehicle Read or PhonRead route, click the plus sign (+) next to that protocol
under
Reports
. A list of available reports for that protocol will appear in the tree view.
Select the report you wish to view by clicking on it in the Tree View on the left side of the
screen. A BLANK sample route will appear on the right half of the screen. It will only display
the headers at first, until you perform the next step. You must right-click on the blank
sample report, and you will see several menu items appear in a box. Put your mouse pointer
on the words Route -Default [protocol], and then click
Select a New Route
.
