All hydraulic functions connected to the electro-hydraulic control
block of the machine are operated via the control set. The electro-
hydraulic control block
•
is equipped for load-sensing operation as standard and should
be connected to the respective connections of the tractor.
•
is alternatively suitable for open or closed-centre hydraulic
systems. It is then connected to a double-acting control device
or to a single-acting control device and a depressurised return
line leading directly into the hydraulic oil tank of the tractor.
•
The conversion from open to closed-centre hydraulic system is
carried out by means of the load-sensing screw at the electro-
hydraulic control block.
The hydraulic oil flows back into the hydraulic oil tank of the tractor
through the free return line with a low back pressure. Thus, a free
return line reduces heating-up of the hydraulic oil.
Preconditions for safe operation of the electro-hydraulic forced
steering axle system:
•
A load-sensing capable hydraulic system. This is the only way
to ensure a sufficient supply of the steering axle(s) with
hydraulic oil at any time.
•
A standby pressure of the tractor's hydraulic system over
15 bar. The optimum pressure is 30 bar to ensure that the
steering system quickly follows the given steering angle. At
15 bar and less, the steering computer switches over to
passive steering.
•
A sufficient power supply of the steering computer via the
control set (cable cross section 2 x 4 mm²). Retrofit an
appropriate Strautmann supply line if necessary.
•
A ball-type coupling K80 (according to ISO 24347) to couple
the drawgear free of clearance and in a fail-safe manner.
•
A ball-type coupling K50 (according to DIN 74058 / ISO 1103)
at the same level and at a distance of 245-250 mm next to the
K80 ball-type coupling to couple the forced steering axle free of
clearance and in a fail-safe manner.
