Operating The Control Panel
General Control Operation
The IVT oil mist unit is controlled by a programmable solid-state controller. When power is
supplied it first performs a self-diagnosis to ensure that the Operator Interface Keypad and Main
Circuit Board are functioning properly.
The
IVT programmable solid-state controller is made up of the following components.
1. Liquid crystal display (LCD) which displays operating status and alarm variable values.
2. Keypad with 16 membrane-type buttons that allows the user to access variables and select
various aspects specific to the operation of the IVT Oil Mist Generator.
3. Light enunciators that show the status of each variable. Status is indicated as either in Alarm
or Normal condition.
Keypad Buttons
The 16 buttons located on the operator interface keypad perform the following functions:
•
AIR TEMP – When depressed this key displays, in real time (
°
F or
°
C), the air temperature as
it enters the vortex mist generator. This temperature is the temperature of the exiting air after
heated by the air heater element.
•
OIL TEMP - When depressed this key displays, in real time (
°
F or
°
C), the temperature of the
oil contained within the 75 Gallon bulk oil storage tank.
•
AMB TEMP - When depressed this key displays, in real time (
°
F or
°
C), the ambient
temperature outside of the IVT console cabinet. The temperature sensor is located on the
rear of the cabinet
.
•
OIL LEVEL – When depressed this key displays the oil reserve in the bulk oil reservoir
(Gallon or Liter) and hours.
•
SUP AIR PRES – When depressed this key displays inlet air pressure ( PSI or BAR ) being
supplied to the IVT inlet air connection.
