The oil transfer pump speed should be limited to approximately 200 cycles per minute.
Adjusting the air pressure regulator to the oil transfer pump controls the pump speed. If the
pump fails to operate, ensure that the air supply block valve is in the open position. Pump
speed increases when the air pressure regulator knob is turned clock-wise. The pump speed
decreases when the regulator knob is adjusted in the counter-clock wise direction.
When the auxiliary oil mist generator is initially filled from a dry reservoir, the fill time to 2/3
full is approximately 10 minutes. The pump discharge rate at 200 cycles per minute is
approximately 0.71 GPM (2.9 liters per minute).

2) Turn OFF the electrical power to the main oil mist generator
a) The electrical power switch is located in the top of the operator panel. Separate power
switches are provided for the main and auxiliary oil mist generators in NEC configured
units. The main oil mist generator switch is located on the left side. Move the switch to
the OFF position.
b) For ATEX configured units, power is supplied through a three-position selector switch. To
turn power OFF to the main oil mist generator move the selector switch to the center
position.( I

3) Turn OFF the air supply to the main oil mist generator.
a) Adjust the air pressure regulator to the closed position. Turning the adjustment knob on
the air pressure regulator in the full counter clockwise position places it in the closed
position. The mist pressure will bleed to zero.
b) Close the air supply block valve to the main oil mist generator. If the air supply to the
auxiliary unit is ON, the mist outlet valve will operate to close the mist outlet to the main
oil mist generator.
NOTICE:
The main oil mist generator may be allowed to continue to operate
while the auxiliary oil mist generator is allowed to fill. If the main unit
is allowed to operate, place the air pressure regulator for the auxiliary
oil mist generator in the closed or full counter-clock wise position prior
to opening the supply air valve. Failure to do so may result in a high
mist pressure condition
Ensure That The Air Supply Block Valve For
The Oil Transfer Pump Is In the Open Position
Use The Air Pressure Regulator To Limit The Oil
Transfer Pump Cycle Speed To 200 Cycles Per Min.
Open The Auxiliary Oil Mist Generator Air Supply
Block Valve Before Filling The Reservoir.
The Right Toggle Valve Opens Oil Flow Into The
Auxiliary Oil Mist Generator Reservoir
The Left Toggle Valve Controls The Air Supply
To The Transfer Pump
Monitor Oil Level In The Oil Level Gauge. Fill To 2/3 Full.
Ensure That The Drain Valve Is Closed And Plugged.
