Oil Supply Pressure Transducer
A solid state pressure transducer is used to monitor the operation of the oil transfer pump when
the automatic oil fill feature is energized (see Oil Supply). When the level switch in the main oil
mist generator reservoir initiates the fill cycle, the pressure transducer confirms that pump
operation has started. When the oil transfer pump is cycling, its operation is monitored. The oil
pressure transducer is mounted in a manifold at the oil pump outlet. It is a two-wire 4-20 mA
output pressure transducer. The oil pressure transducer is connected to the IVT controller with a
flexible cord. Through the controller, the transducer monitors the oil pressure when the auto fill
sequence is active and gives a high and low level alarm. If a pressure alarm is detected, the
alarm remains active after the fill cycle is complete.
