Serial Data Port – RS-422/485 

The IVT Oil Mist Generator is equipped with a serial data port (RS-422/485). See 

Remote 

Communication And Alarm Connections

 in the INSTALLATION section of this manual for terminal 

location and connection information. This data port conforms to EIA-485-A and EIA-422-B 
specifications for balanced data transmission. 
The RS-422/485 serial port will accept either a two wire or four wire configuration and operate in 
either single or Tristate mode. The port will support baud rates as high as 19200 baud and. See 
details below for wire connections.
