and door and roof-frame panels.
e
Do not use cleaning agents or other liquids in
the area of the airbags.
Cleaning fabric linings
Fabric linings on pillars, roofliner, and sun blinds,
etc. must only be cleaned using suitable cleaning
agents, suitable dry foam and a soft brush.
Alcantara
®
care
Do not use leather care products to clean Alcan-
tara
®
. For regular care, it is sufficient to clean the
cover with a soft brush. Strong abrasion or rubbing
when cleaning will create a lasting change to the
surface.
e
When lightly soiled, wet a soft cloth with water
or a neutral soap solution and wipe off the dirt.
e
When heavily soiled, wet a soft cloth with luke-
warm water or thinned white spirit and dab the
dirt from the outside in.
Cleaning the seat belts
To ensure proper cleaning of your vehicle, please
observe the following:
e
Use mild detergent for soiled seat belts.
e
When drying, avoid direct sunlight.
e
Only use suitable cleaning agents.
e
Do not tint or bleach seat belts. The belt fabric
could be weakened and could therefore impair
safety.
High-voltage battery care
Care instructions
Due to the physical properties of the high-voltage
battery, the battery capacity is reduced during its
life cycle and as a result, the maximum electric
range available is also reduced.
The following measures can have a positive effect
on the amount of battery capacity lost during its
life cycle:
e
Charge the high-voltage battery using the
charging timer function.
e
If possible, avoid exposing the vehicle to high
temperatures, such as parking it in direct
sunlight.
Notes on leaving the vehicle standing for
long periods
For standing times longer than one month:
e
Do not leave the vehicle with a discharged high-
voltage battery, but connect it permanently to
the mains supply for charging/trickle charging.
If a permanent connection of the vehicle to the
mains supply is not possible:
e
Charge the high-voltage battery fully (charge
state 100%) before parking the vehicle.
e
Check the charge state every three month and
recharge if necessary.
e
Deactivate timer-controlled parking pre-
climatization.
e
Deactivate precool/heat timer.
e
Avoid using the Porsche Car Connect smart-
phone app. Establishing the connection be-
tween the app and the vehicle activates the
high-voltage system and therefore discharges
the high-voltage battery.
Cleaning screens and touch
displays
NOTICE
Unsuitable cleaning and care agents and incorrect
treatment can damage screens and touch
displays.
e
Do not use solvents such as mineral spirits,
thinners, gas or acetone; alcohol (ethanol,
methanol or isopropyl alcohol) or abrasive
agents for cleaning.
e
Do not spray cleaning agents or other liquids
directly onto screens or touch displays. The
electronics can be damaged irreparably if
liquids leak in. Instead, moisten a cloth and
carefully wipe the screen.
To ensure proper cleaning of your vehicle, please
observe the following:
e
Screens and touch displays are susceptible to
scratching. From time to time, clean the
screens and touch displays carefully with a dry,
clean and soft cloth (microfiber cloth). Do not
exert excessive pressure on the surface when
cleaning.
e
Remove finger prints with a slightly damp cloth
or a mild cleaning agent.
Laying up your vehicle
If you intend to store your vehicle for a prolonged
period: Contact an authorized Porsche dealer.
They will be glad to give you information and ad-
vice about the necessary measures, e.g. corro-
sion prevention, care, maintenance and storage.
